The author also provides information on the impacts of war on the hemispheric nations. I choose this article because it is scholarly, credible, and objective. I will use this source to unleash information regarded to the causes of the war of 1812.
Conway, S. (2017). Privateering: Patriots and Profits in the War of 1812, by Faye M. Kert.
In this article, the author offers a unique perspective on the war of 1812. Unlike other sources that focus on the causes and impact of the war, Conway provides information on American and Canadian privateering in the war and the reasons for such action (either for patriotism or profit). I choose this source as it provides unique information regarding the parties involved in the war. I will use this source to find out if there were any other private individuals that were directly involved in the war apart from the American military and naval forces.

The book provides information on the causes and effects of the war of 1812. It offers valuable primary evidence on the implication of the war particularly to the United States and Canada. I choose this source because it is a primary source. I will use this book to research more on the effects of the war of 1812.
I found the sources from the internet; majorly from Google Scholar database, Journal of American history database, and Canadian Journal of History repositories. I did not experience any notable difficulty in this initial part of the project. The War of 1812 is a hugely studied topic, and thus there is a myriad of credible and objective sources.
