This shows that the program has tried its level best to accommodate even the immigrants. The failures of this program come as a result of its inability to campaign for the right to due process. Most of the immigration courts in America fail to maintain the same due process protection as it is found in criminal courts. Those facing deportations are denied the opportunity to present equities in their favor. This means that when one is convicted of a particular felony, he or she is subjected to mandatory deportation. Immigration as a Human Right

Immigration is a human right. The liberals even demand that everyone should be given the right to live wherever he or she wants. Moreover, every person has freedom of movement from one place to another (Oberman, 43). The Universal Declaration of Human Rights also indicates that everyone has the right to leave any country including his own and to go back to his or her country. This means that immigration is a human right just like any other.

Escaping Dire Situations and Political Reasons

People have the right to escape dire situations they were born into, and one has the right to flee economic deprivation mainly caused by poor political decisions (Oberman, 43). While most of the people escape from poverty, some bring up political reasons for running away.
