The act of creating a new object, way of carrying out a process, or piece of technology is known as innovation. A creative individual strategically applies skills and experience to create a product that is either new to the market or an upgrade to an existing brand. To become creative, an individual must go through an education process that teaches them how to recognize and clarify aspects. As a result, the curriculum works to develop students’ creativity so that they can come up with solutions to societal problems. Some contend that creativity is solely the domain of philosophers and academics (Thompson 16). However, I differ with the belief as having many people have a similar opinion about an aspect does not make it to be correct. Innovation can be done by any individual provided they are literate and able to express their opinion, observations, and inferences. I believe that innovation is merely learning the new ideas that will help one come up with a new idea to assist the world. The world needs as many innovators as possible to be able to address emergent issues and even as times prevent the same issues from occurring.
Although innovation is an important aspect, it is can be realized by any individual in the society and social trends do not provide compelling evidence about a discovery.
I do not accept the idea that only few people in the society are innovators and trending of an issue or assertion in the social media provides evidence that the allegation is true. I am of the opinion that this new form of innovation has enlarged the scope of fields and that people can indeed apply it in various areas including in technology.
It is through innovation that many organizations have gained changes in opportunities and possibilities in such current uncertain and volatile business environment. Considering that they will adopt any channel that promises life in the future to successfully keep them at a competing and better in the range with its competitors. Innovations in adapting better customer relation platforms have seen, any companies emerging in very adverse and fluctuating economic conditions. As more people become innovative, an expansion in the business field is realized (Śledzik 78). In the medical fields, reports on the adoption of innovative ways have been published. Successfully spreading of various surgical innovations in England has set new and different approaches in attending to a surgical process. Reviews were made of the major surgical procedures, and patterns identified to a better way of approaching some cases. As a result of such success pathway for surgical innovation erupted throughout the pharmaceutical fields to improve the medical sector. If other countries and other innovators further their changes in the medical field, many lives that lost due to unsuccessful surgeries may be salvaged (Williams 72). In regards to the business sector, recently innovators have been identified to have played essential roles in developing high-tech SMEs. It is indeed important to note that the growth of some quarters is as a result of emerging SMEs. It is indeed my wish to support innovation in this sector, since without the innovators’ development, the prevailing high-tech SMEs may not have found their way into good developments they have been achieved. ZHU, Ming-jun, and Ji (2017) found that, the better the legal system supporting innovation in society, the better chances of having upcoming inventors (ZHU, Ming-ju, and Ji 23). Since the SMEs are always growing, more changes in that sector shall be required.
In opposing the statement, recently many people have tried their luck in innovation only to mislead others. In 2014 Amazon launched a phone in the growing smartphone world. The Fire tablets were well received by consumers to the surprise of the developers. However, the phone appeared to have not been made to match the current competition. It proved to be a waste of money and resources. As much as innovation should be upheld and promoted, excellence should be titled to the better innovation and lousy innovation punished (Williams 73).
Even though some government and managing bodies has improved, on the apparent path of supporting innovators, the same measures should be taken in protecting the patient. In most places, this aspect is still lacking. Inventors will develop an item or idea only to find their plan was replicated by others (Howlett 396). However, this can be handled by putting in place supportive and transparent mechanism in assisting the innovators in arriving at new ideas without the fear patent copy.
It is essential to be reminded that innovation is not different as compared to the innovations arrived in earlier decades. The times have merely changed, and so are the players. Not everyone can be an inventor, but platforms should be provided to the individuals intending to become inventors. The field has been merely expanded for opportunities in innovation with education; tools and access have been provided for upcoming inventors embrace them. The only way for the make the world a better place is through the initiatives taken by individuals in developing things and ideas that push us further into the future. The availability of defining comments into the commitments of innovators may not end. But that should not deter them from having and making their input felt in the world.
