Introduction

Results summary

From my signature themes report, it indicates that there are five most dominant themes of my talent. The top five talents include communication, strategic, activator, futuristic and activator. In terms of communication, I have the passion for explaining, describing and to speak in public which is one of my communication themes at the place of work. Strategic, this theme has enabled me to find routes as well as direction to a given place. Activator, the outcome indicates that it is only through action that better performance can be achieved. Futuristic, I foresee the future, and for that reason, this theme has assisted me to always look forward to better things. Lastly, competition, the performance of other people has always been yardsticks to me. I prefer contest since it leads to a winner and a more focused individual.

Overview of Strengthsfinder as a psychometric test

Strength finder as a psychometric test clearly describes the personality and skills of a person hence such skills are interlinked to various characteristics of a person. Furthermore, strength finder has almost 34 themes that enable an individual to understand their potential. The Clifton strength finder assessment assists in identifying the key areas where people have the potential for establishing their strength. It also measures the recurring pattern of one’s thought as well as behavior (Leslie et al., 2015).

The assessment outcome indicates that language has always fascinated me since childhood. Hence, my expanding vocabulary earns me more compliments. However, this is a surprise to me, because in most cases before communicating with another person, I take into consideration the kind of information I want to share. For that reason, there is an inconsistency particularly on how I convey information. Also, if I compare my communication level with the response from my friend regarding my communication, I can finalize that most people always prefer to interact with me due to my verbal exchanges.

From my own experience as a leader, I once gathered every team to explain to them some of the key aspects they should take into consideration before performing a given job. In the process, I was able to exercise democratic style of leadership whereby I took into consideration members of the team opinion. The outcome was fascinating since all members were able to understand what is required of them and how they can achieve the set goals.

The implication of the results

The outcome indicates that being able to share a vision with other people has helped me in planning and achieving such aims. For that reason, being a futuristic leader will shape my leadership plan by making sure vital aspects or actions are considered before implementing a given scenario. Also, being activator will enable me to create opportunities for people in the organization, opportunities in which they can also engage in key decision making (Stogdill, 2010). I can draw my strengths on how I interact with other people and how well I can be able to motivate a person.

Conclusion

Conclusively, communication, futuristic and competition theme all play a crucial role in developing one’s leadership skills. A visionary and a leader who possess better communication skills can deliver the predetermined set of objectives. It all depends on what a person wants to achieve first.
