When it comes to labeling all Muslims as terrorists, I believe that the media has had the greatest detrimental impact of all the misunderstandings presented in the film. Ideally, Al-Qaeda and other such organizations always claim responsibility for terrorist actions, and since the bulk of them are committed by followers of the Islamic faith, Islam generally receives a poor name. As a result, a number of serious myths about all Muslims are certain to spread and eventually label them as terrorists. Personally, I believe this is the case since you can never predict who, when, or where an attack would occur. As a result, the presence of Muslims combined with widespread misconceptions makes people fearful. I think most people with these misapprehensions think that a Christian believer will never be behind attacks and mostly it would be a Muslim believer.
Nevertheless, I came to a conclusion that the Muslims are very loyal to their religion and to all those who worship with them and they are not all similar to presented stereotypes and even Holmes (2016) to some extent dismisses these misconceptions when tries to describe “Islamic Terrorism”. Other than that, their unity is admirable and desires to also follow in their footsteps. I believe that is what Rheam came into contact which has made her perception of the Muslims positive. The fact that they are willing to ensure they asset each other as a community is an admiration.
In conclusion, I believe caution is the best policy and we should work toward dismissing the various misconceptions about Islam. Much of the American population is influenced by what they see from media and what they perceive from other situations where this has worsened matters since the attacks on the Twin Towers on September 11th. I believe the media should stop to mislead by the misconceptions about Muslims. One thing that I have learned from watching this video and reading the material is that one cannot and should not assume such misconceptions about various cultures as this causes immense problems.
