The Personal Goal Statement

Despite the numerous benefits associated with the nursing profession, such as an estimated 90 percent career satisfaction rating, flexible work schedules, and industry growth predictions that could indicate the inclusion of new jobs for registered nurses, I would like to consider the diverse career options that I could access by earning a Bachelors of Science in Nursing degree. I was able to secure positions as a nurse anesthetist, nurse midwife, psychiatric nurse specialist, and nurse practitioner. These job descriptions are supplemented by opulent compensation which should be compensated for as enhancements to my professional portfolio. Elms College provides a high-quality program for registered nurses. Individuals are taught by the interdisciplinary faculty from various domains. It will prepare me to cope with the changing healthcare environment. The college’s program is successfully achieved through a structured education model which includes cohorts; these cohorts enable the individuals to proceed in a uniform sequence as an intact supportive group. This further encourages teamwork and collaboration. Lastly, on completion of the RN-BS program an individual is given the chance of completing two bridge graduate courses as part of the curriculum.

Attaining the degree will be a major milestone to my career. BSN curriculum teaches extra skills apart from common clinical skills, as a BSN holder I will be able to accomplish improvement in my financial remunerations, offer excellent patient care, be eligible for most of the posted nursing jobs, and I will face minor competition in my nursing career because some nursing careers only open to BSN holders.
