A bookkeeping period or accounting period is a customary range of time (12 to 18 months) which a business’s account records and procedures are performed, analyzed and aggregated (Shevlin & Thornock, 2015). An accounting epoch includes both the fiscal year and a calendar year/ tax year calculations.
