Emperor Augustus had several good qualities that I would wish an American President. Just like Emperor Augustus I would an American President to be a shrewd military leader with the ability to win battles at home and abroad. I would also like the President of the United States to be a champion of anticorruption campaign just like the emperor Augustus was able to rid the Roman empire of corruption.
The Pax Romana was a period when the Roman Empire enjoyed everlasting peace. If I was a Roman citizen during the Pax Romana, I would feel a lot of admiration and love for the empire and emperor Augustus for laying the foundations for peace and tranquility within the empire. Emperor Augustus was very instrumental in ushering an era of everlasting peace by defeating the enemies of Rome and ending years of civil war. The emperor also established a standing army to guard the empire and ensured the soldiers were paid well for their service to the nation.
