A particular plan is required by the agency of any given company enterprise in order to reach a goal over a period of time. With the ever-increasing level of technology, companies have adopted technology-related programs to aid in the decision-making process (Melville, Kraemer, & Gurbaxani, 2004). Different techniques produce different results depending on the efficiency, quantity, and time required to achieve success. As a result, an organization must decide the right system to achieve outcomes that are consistent with the organization’s different priorities and goals.

First, an organization must develop theories about what it expects the chosen system to do. If the business purpose or rather targets are to reach a particular figure regarding sales and customers, hypotheses should be formulated. As per this context, the hypotheses should be a proposed explanation or rather a starting point. If the company adopts this system, the number of consumers will increase hence increasing the number of sales at the same time. After formulating the hypotheses, one should come up with specific goals. The goals should be sensitive to various factors such as time as well as expenses.

Goals that consume much time tend to incur more cost towards the company. However, it is advisable to set goals before trying out the system. In relation, an organization may learn from another organization using the same system in terms of its position and yields (Orlikowski & Barley, 2001). If the company’s customer growth rate stands at 3% in six months, the company should then target a growth rate of 5% in six months. In the event the system does not reach the intended target, the business should seek for a better option to enable it to reach its objectives. However, the progress of an organization is sensitive to time. Testing all the systems one by one consumes time as well as resources. Some systems may go ahead and dismantle a whole organization since incorporating them involves the process of organizational change. Therefore it is advisable to integrate such systems into different departments.

The department of human resources is involved with some necessary business functions such as hiring, providing labor, compensation as well as recruitment. On the other hand, the sales department is directly involved with customers hence sell their various services and products to them at a price. While trying out a system, a business should select the most suitable department such as the sales. The system will work towards increasing the number of customers such as marketing over the web by hiring a search engine optimization company. In the end, an increased number of clients will trigger the human resource department to hire and train more recruits to help attend to all customers.

Experimenting with the use of one department will contribute to triggering the other departments. If another recommendable system works well than the initial, a business should not hesitate to adopt it based on some factors such as its financial status and the goals to be achieved. In conclusion, the technology levels will keep on eating based on time factor. It is up to the business to choose the best that fits its needs. However, the business entity ought to stay updated with the customer expectations since they influence major decisions in an organization.
