The main goal of studying is to do well in exams, tests, or to enhance your study tools. Before beginning his studies, a student must consider several factors, including creating a healthy educational atmosphere, enhancing his focus, picking the optimum study period, and selecting the best method of study. Learning strategies are usually grouped into two types: silent and loud or vocal learning procedures (Steve).

Quiet studying entails one or more people reading in the same location but without interfering in their evaluations. It entails classic note taking, auditory approach, and the buddy system.

Note taking

It is the best tactic one should use when doing personal studies. Note tacking technique can be improved by encouraging one to start his studies early since it takes more time as compared to the rest of the methods. Notes can be typed on a computer or handwritten, but research shows that when writing by use of hands, you get to understand the concepts better. Sometimes it involves highlighting the useful content or underlining it.

Buddy system

In most cases, this method is underrated but has proven to be much effective. It has a personal scholarship approach, but if the concept is difficult to grasp, you can turn to your friend to explain to you in his own words which can make you comprehend the matter better (Solene).

Visual learning.

It entails duplicating what you have learned into a form, table, map, or even brainstorming. Changing the content from writing to graphic form makes it attractive to the eyes and easy to understand. Another way of achieving this is through highlighting important aspects with colorful markers of your choice.

Vocal or group studies

Loud reading is a more efficient method while carrying out a group discussion. It might as well be suitable for private research. It consists of verbal encoding, teacher-student approach, and kinesthetic learning.

Verbal Encoding

It mainly applies to people who are vocal during studies. One can practice this method by repeating the content on paper, converting the information into a song or rap, and saying the words in front of a mirror. The technique enables the learner to hear what he needs to know over and over till it sticks in his mind.

Teacher-students ways

The method is applicable in a scenario where many people are studying together, and there are a few individuals who have a better understanding of the concepts than the rest. The well-informed students act as a teacher to bring the rest of the team to the same level. It is arguably the best method of helping weak or slow learners.

Kinesthetic learning.

This method entails learning by doing. It involves changing the environment, and one can study while doing other physical duties such as eating, watching or even bike riding (Steve). This method works for a small percentage of students.

Conclusion

Suitability of the various studying methods is different from one person to another. The techniques are also applicable to different environments and learning levels. When one identifies the best studying method, learning becomes easy.
