Class, race, and gender played into Rosa Lopez’s testimony and the credibility of her testimony through the associate professor of law, Maria L. Ontiveros who counters the prevalent view that Lopez was a liar. She also believed that when issues of culture, class, and gender are involved, alternative views are possible.

Intersectionality are applied in everyday life for instance; there is a phrase, “women and minorities” which is extensively used and does not consider that roughly fifteen percent of the people are both women and minorities. Moreover, regarding murder, it is believed that men and blacks are more likely to be murdered than women and whites. Furthermore, many criminologists still suppose that sexual orientation is important only when used to lesbians and gays and class only appropriate when talking about the rich and the poor.

Master status means most significant. I strongly support the author’s state that there is no consistent master status because, from the various arguments highlighted by the author, it is clear that the cases does not sustain an argument that one aspect is constantly the most important. So the accent has to understand how they work mutually.

Opportunity impacts the study of intersections as it makes inequalities seem natural and blinds people to many social dynamics. Matrix privilege is most important for understanding the study of class, race, and gender as it is more complicated but potentially productive. The other significant opportunity is a male privilege because it affects how men view gender equality.

The author is mostly concerned about the barriers to intersections, one of them is the incomplete statistics for methodical comparisons and the restrictions of many models applied to study of communal dynamics. Quantitative modes have led to the high tendency of scientific researches.
