We will discuss retirement in this paper. Retirement is recognized as one of the most important moments in a professional’s life. As a result, the majority of people regard retirement preparation as critical. Individuals begin planning for retirement at a young age in order to save enough money to live comfortably after retirement. It should be mentioned that retirement is an important event for any profession, including sports, civil service, and the private sector (Qualls & Abeles, 2002). As someone who wishes to work in the civil service, I will have to retire at some point.  My retirement plan

After my official service or work, I would enjoy being involved in voluntary activities and advocacy aimed at helping the needy. Engaging in various activities after retirement is crucial in dealing with issues of depression and marital complications that are usually associated with retired people. Depressions and marital conflicts usually happen in situations where one of the married couples has retired and the other is working, therefore to get rid of retirement related complications I will prefer sharing my savings with the needy through advocacy and other activities.

Retirement is just the beginning but not the end, as people perceive it; it is a period where the individual`s impact is greatly felt in a society. Retirement gives room for people to act as advisors, to have time to share knowledge and experiences with other hence influencing the society trends, therefore on this basis I will prefer staying at one of my apartments in the city to constantly meet people and give advice where necessary(Schlossberg, 2004).

In conclusion, retirement is the beginning of the transformation of an individual’s life from one stage to another, it may be difficult or not, depending on the strategies used, while handling retirement-related issues, and it is a fact that every employee must adhere to, to gain respectable profession.
