Punishment for Plagiarism

Plagiarism is the unjust fraud and stealing of another writer’s ideas, thoughts or language. It is considered to be academic dishonesty by researchers, students, and professors. Individuals found to have plagiarized may face suspensions, penalties or even expulsion from the institution.

            Plagiarism is not about recycling ideas in a useful way, but it is stealing from someone’s work. People who plagiarised are punished whether they are caught or not. The real castigation is that the way they look themselves in the looking glass every time with the reality that they are living a falsehood. Also when you decided to plagiarised, you are robbing the individuals around you the experience and professionalism they gain while in college. Similarly, writings are not easy to work the author toils a lot to come up with ideas, so when you plagiarize their work you are robbing them of their creative work.

            It is not acceptable to plagiarize another company advertisement. The writers, creators or journalist have their professional statuses ruined over allegations of plagiarism. The plagiarists may be dismissed; their contracts dissolved or even pass through hard times in securing future work. Also, the company that their work was plagiarist may take legal actions. The plagiarists may be persecuted in the court of law over fraud and outcomes may be heavy fines or even imprisonment. Students that copy and paste another writer’s work faces heavy punishments ranging from suspension to even expulsion from the institution. Above that student who has habit of plagiarism faces embarrassment as their future work examined carefully than other students and even awarded zero in the assignment or exam if found with plagiarism. Last but not least plagiarism may lead to degree or professional license to be invalidated. This affects one’s career and source of income.
