The project manager should make sure that the task is finished to a high standard and within the allocated time and budget (Pandey, 2013). As a result, the project manager should go over a clear plan for the project’s scope with the pertinent parties (Kerzner, 2013). It is advisable to find out what the organization wants as its end result and how they plan to evaluate its performance in order to make sure that the project’s scope satisfies their needs.

When the project scope needs to be adjusted, it is crucial to review the original specifications to make sure they do not change the project (Pandey, 2013). Project modification may need readjustments in time, quality and the budget and there should be negotiations with all the stakeholders on the same issue to avoid a repeat of the same in the future.

In instances where budget and time constraints appear, it would be advisable to refer to the project scope (Davis & Radford, 2014). All the relevant stakeholders should be well acquainted with the original discussions, but the project manager should also give little room for small adjustments that may appear on the way. The project manager should also mention the negative implications of changing the specifications and why they should stick to the original plan.

Project managers ought to adequately deal with ethical dilemmas arising from their projects. In an incidence where a team member fails to offer quality and durable work, then it is important that the project manager demands his action plan to adequately assess the shortfalls (Davis & Radford, 2014). The project manager must also demand accountability from all the team players and closely monitor the project to satisfy the customer’s expectations (Kerzner, 2013). The project manager should in this case objectively request the member to repeat the work with the right quality to not disappoint the client.
