After watching and thoroughly examining the case, it became clear that the film is based on data about global poverty and income inequality. It is also important to point out that I was drawn to a few of the video’s aspects. I have always been conscious of the high percentage of poverty in the world and the fact that a significant portion of people there make less than $1 each day (Majumder, et al. 2017). Therefore, I wouldn’t say that the information and statistics about the extent of poverty in the world provided in the film surprised me; I have always known they existed. However from my analysis of the video what surprised me is the level of misplaced priority we currently have in our world. The government of nations spends billions of dollars on building weapons and military defense system which they might never use for decades or even till they are extinct. This form of practices is what I refer to as a gross misplacement of priority.

I am of the option that the primary solution to the problems posed this situation is a complete reorientation. The redirection process will begin with the need for the government of nations to get their priorities right, hence, putting the resources of their countries into proper use that will be of benefits to their citizens. I proposed a decline in the budgetary allocations for military and an increased allocation for provision of essential amenities (Andresen, at al 2017).

There is need to conclude by pointing out that the primary lesson I have learned from the case video is the fact that our world suffers as a result of misplaced priorities and that our world will be better off if institutional leaders get their priorities right (Lade et al. 2017).
