Nursing research and evidence-based practice

The primary approaches to the investigation that its uses are in preoperative nursing training include nursing research and evidence-based practice. The method of facts from distinct analyses gives the foundation for framing the conclusion essential for practice adjustment as well as improving patient care in preoperative scenarios. Preoperative nursing has a long history of traditional and repetitious methods. The statistics can either validate the conventional or show the need for modifications to better health care.

Nursing research is a concept-based, scientific endeavor that seeks to answer a question, test an intervention, or explain a situation. The primary goal of NR is to generate new understanding of nursing which is to be shared national full by all nurses. It usually follows specific steps in scientific research procedure. These procedures, the preoperative nurse learns during the undergraduate education. (Baker, 2017)

Evidenced-based practice EBP

Most research shows that patient outcomes aftercare is improved when the practitioner practices in an evidenced-based routine. The approach can describe a problem-solving method applied in clinical care. It incorporates the conscientious use of current best practice from well-designed studies, a clinical practitioner, and patient values and preferences. Evidenced-based research has shown to increase ways in which the safety of the patient is often achieved, improve clinical outcomes reducing healthcare costs and decreasing deviation in patient outcomes. The importance of EBP is very crucial; however, disadvantages and barriers may include the level of education or knowledge and the articulacy of practicing nurse. Most of the nurses have identified individual and organizational blockades to research application. The distinct barriers include lack of information about the research practice and how to analyze research studies. Lack of awareness of the research, support from the colleagues and the feeling of lack of authority to change are all barriers. (Agnes T, 2014)

Model of change

Nursing researchers have settled a variety of evidence-based practice models to expedite the application of research findings into nursing training. The presentation of EBP model is envisioned to break the complication of the test of transiting evidence into clinical practice. The efficient models are required to guide the transformation of research into practice effectively. It is also used to avoid the catastrophe complemented by a costly venture of time and resources. To choose the best change model for clinical, an overview of the commonly used nursing model is needed to assist the practitioner in likening and selecting that which fits the organization and the specific clinical delinquent. Benefits and disadvantages of ER diagram

In ER model objects like assemblies are collected into an entity set. Advantages include its simplicity. The marking of ER diagram is a very laid-back practice. The few things that you need to know about are the symbolizations about the entities, their attributes, and relations between them. A good visual representation it gives a graphical illustration of various data, their characteristics, and relationship. Thus it helps in the understanding of entities. It acts as an active communication channel among user (Ankit, 2015). It easily converts to any data model.

Its disadvantages include restricted constraints and stipulations, easily loss of data contents, minimized relationship representation. Weak for a higher level design and lack of demonstration of data influence (Marjorie A. Schaffer, 2012)

Automated edit checks in data ensure that the content is the high percentage. High eminence data might mean that only a few patients needed in the research. The understanding database allows the clinician to concentrate on treating their patient other than the data.
