Prior to drafting my research on the nature and effects of human resources in organizations, the interview was done. I conducted an interview with Mrs. Karen xxx, the state-based human resources manager for Xxx Company. Ms. Karen is a human resources specialist who decided to pursue a career in business after leaving the healthcare sector.

The main goal of the interview was to gain an understanding of the composition and significance of the human resources division within enterprises. In order to guarantee that all necessary topics were addressed during the interview, a draft paper containing pertinent questions was crucial. The interview lasted for forty-five minutes, a period enough to get the answers from Ms. Karen. The meeting focused on the career progress of the interviewee and the reasons for the choice of a human resource career. It also concentrated on the company’s key success factors, challenges the interviewee faced in her role, sources of motivation and the company’s philosophy.

Ms. Karen was involved in students’ career talks and forums, and this is how I was able to identify and network with her. She was passionate about the human resource aspect of organizations and often gave talks to students in the university. She possessed the right skills and experience in human resource, and I took the opportunity to approach her through an email she gave during her periodical talks.

The source of motivation in her job was an important aspect of Ms. Karen career. She values the leadership qualities of her CEO such as ethics and involvement in decisions making. The interviewee values good work relations more than other hygiene sources of motivation such as money. The interviewee also acknowledges challenges in her role as human resource manager especially in striking a balance between management and other personnel in the organization. The fact that she recognizes the problems places her in a better position of finding solutions on the same. The company philosophy with a special focus on clients, employees, excellence, growth, professionalism, leadership and staff development are essential qualities portraying a positive image of the organization.

The interviewee career path is quite a good experience to learn from and apply in numerous career fields. The respondent began her career as a customer service representative and gradually rose to the human resource manager. Ms. Karen focused on gaining experience in her career area, and this is evidenced by the various human resource positions she held and persuasion of further studies to improve her knowledge in this area. The interviewee does not shy away from challenges in her area, an important feature that has led to her success in human resource. The informant career path and challenges thus teach young graduates on the need to prioritize experience and gaining skills as well as pursuing challenging tasks in their careers.

Ms. Karen career life portrays an important aspect of human resource in every career field. Employees in every department in the organization are critical and thus the need to operate as a system if firm’s goals are to be achieved successfully. The interview also brings out the importance of other factors other than hygiene factors when motivating employees in an organization.

I would concentrate on specific aspects of human resource in future interviews. This interview presented an important point on sources of employees’ motivation in an organization which I would try to identify in the subsequent interviews. I would also try to get varying views on human resource in the organization by interviewing employees as a compliment to interview with the human resource manager.
