The Leadership Self-Assessment Questionnaire

The Leadership Self-Assessment Questionnaire revealed that my leadership style is characterized by openness and a strong sense of teamwork. Additionally, I am capable of accepting faults made in order to look for potential fixes. Helen Keller maintained that “...alone we can do little; together we can do much,” emphasizing the need of teamwork (Keller, 2005). Knowing what is right and being honest with oneself are concepts that begin with the individual. After that, efforts are focused on developing the greatest ideal guidelines for carrying out the proper actions. (2005) McGinn Strong management frequently adopts a democratic management style, where decisions are made after considering the thoughts and opinions of all team members. The approach is effective in improving my skills through learning from others.

Some of the weaknesses

Some of the weaknesses I have include insufficient public speaking skills and being poor in giving directions. Being the center of attention requires much confidence in order to avoid feelings of getting intimidated associated with increased nervousness. The problem, however, ends with time after sharing and moderating several meetings. Being argumentative can be destructive especially for a leader who is domineering. I have learned to avoid this weakness by being fair to opinions raised by others. Fairness, in this case, entails giving issues at hand a multifaceted approach for the promotion of the common good. Besides, the approach makes juniors feel respected and part of the decision-making team for their own and company policies. These weaknesses can further be dealt with through employing fairness, humility, and a positive attitude in leadership. Conclusively, my result of the Leadership Matrix Survey was Middle of the Road and the Leadership Self-Assessment Activity score was 154, which is You Are Getting Close.
