Transitioning into maturity has always been a concern for most parents and guardians, particularly in situations when the children have certain difficulties. JJ’s transition into adulthood is now a troubling instance. Fears associated with entering adulthood include the chance of obtaining and retaining employment. Many parents have had a favorable or negative impact on their children’s transition to maturity, while others have refused to let their children to begin their lives, citing incapability. The guardians have the responsibility of training and exposing him to adulthood and self-independency irrespective of criticism. I feel that before he fails, he should be given an opportunity to try to be independent because just like anybody else he has abilities that can help him. According to the law, I propose he is allowed to make an opinion about his adulthood transition choice. He should be exposed to an IEP program to guide him and guardians on a transitional plan. According to IDEA, every child should be able to know his strength and weaknesses before going into adulthood.
