Islands Version of the Wonder Woman Movie

The birth of Diana on the island of Themyscira lends credence to the island’s version, and Diana’s rescue of an American pilot from the isle’s offshore waters highlights the superhero’s ability to draw strength from the local environment. Beats in the music that are related to islanders’ natural environments are used throughout the film to increase the adrenalin of characters, including Wonder Woman herself. The main female heroine wins all of her battles thanks to the interconnectedness of natural elements. Inspirations: The heroic acts of Diana such as saving the pilot and the fight against German sailors that kills them all plus the fight with Sir Patrick can be linked to the upbringing of Diana on the island of Themyscira. I see that Diana has to encounter these battles on the shores of the island to help her discover the supernatural qualities in her. Tension rises on the island as Steve the pilot is about to die before Diana discovers her heroic capabilities.

I envision the final celebrations on the Isle of Great Britain to mark the end of a war that has been made possible by a girl born and bred on another island.

Period: A mythic heroic age would be suitable for this version. More so the early heroes who were perceived to be the descendants of gods. In these case, the descendants of the gods are the female star in this version whose life is determined by nature around and in islands. The warships and magical weapons point out at an age when battles were won only with the approval of the gods.

Main Characters

DIANA- a female hero, born on the island of Themyscira. She has hidden supernatural powers that are not discovered yet. The Ocean and Islands speak to her about her important position on earth which is to save humankind.

STEVE- An American pilot who is saved by Diana and who knows that Diana possesses supernatural powers that can help the good people win in the battles of the islands.

Setting- (Offshore of the Island of Themyscira)

(DIANA is looking closely at STEVE who is lying on the ground and is on the brink of death after being severely injured in the battle against German soldiers.)

DIANA: Hey! Hey! (STEVE turns towards DIANA and opens one eye followed by the other and then closes them both at once.) Are you going to give up life just like that? If you do that, you will disappoint the gods of this island.

STEVE: (Mumbling) aah! I need your help again. Some water, please.

DIANA: You do not need water now, some herbs will do to relieve the pain (DIANA walks towards a shrub, picks some herbs which she crushes and mixes with water.) Here, drink this ( hands over the mixture to STEVE.)

STEVE: (Takes a sip of the mix) Aggrh! Tastes bad, but if it takes the pain away, I must force it down the throat.

DIANA: Tell me something (Looking sternly at STEVE.) Tell me what you know about the wars of the Islands.

STEVE: I Know Nothing, I am just a pilot who found himself in this mess. (Closes eyes again.)

DIANA: Nature tells me that you know more than you speak. (Turns to STEVE who has now opened his eyes.) What do you know?

STEVE: I am an Allied spy in the world war that is tearing apart the world out there, I stole a notebook with valuable information from the Spanish chief chemist, Isabel Maru and I believe this can be of help (Hands over the notebook to DIANA.)

DIANA: Yes. . . Yes! You are the one to lead me through the long journey. (Picks STEVE up and points at the ocean horizon) the long journey past there. (DIANA and STEVE sing)
