Reasons for Not Expanding JetBlue Airlines Internationally

Before opting to start on a worldwide growth of the business, I would take a number of aspects into account, keeping in mind that JetBlue Airlines Company has not yet extended outside of the USA. I would decide against expanding the business internationally given the current political and economic climate in the USA. This choice was made for a number of reasons.

Challenges in Choosing a Suitable Location

Prior to making a decision to expand internationally, one must first select a safe place that offers the best conditions for the company’s global expansion. Knowing about government organizations, being tolerant of international businesses, and having the suitable labor force are all components of choosing the right site. However, the current political situation in the USA makes it difficult to attain all of these in a foreign company, considering that mine is a US based organization. The favoritism of the US government against blacks makes it even more difficult for my company to obtain competent labor force in a black dominated foreign nation.

Risks Associated with Business Expansion

The second factor why it would be difficult to expand my company internationally is that there are many international risks that are associated with business expansion. The current economic environment in the USA only makes such risks greater because JetBlue airlines will need expansion in all its major sectors. In expanding the business, the threats will be higher than the opportunities because there have been several attacks on the US soil, whether human or natural, which have really crippled any efforts of JetBlue airlines both internally and the possibility of internationally as well.

Conclusion

Conclusively, I would choose not to expand JetBlue airlines internationally due to various economic and political factors in the USA currently. Maybe time would be of essence in this case because the future may provide better economic and political conditions for any business to expand internationally.
