Money is now believed to be present everywhere in sports. The factor of money participation in sport has taken center stage in most sporting competitions around the world over time. The money factor can be seen on the shirt, the arena, the players’ heads, and in the hands of the owners. If football is their faith, then money will quickly become their king. Every week, millions of dollars are estimated to be changing hands between different clubs and players. Fans and ticket officials are also part of this exchange. As much as money could be involved every aspect of sports, there are however few specific areas in sports where the influence of money is greatly felt(Bridgewater 117). These include stadium naming rights, the player transfer fees, and sponsorship and jersey sales. To examine more and sport, this paper will look at its influence in the sporting activities.

Objectives of the Study

The research study will focus on the following questions to establish the purpose of the study.

1. How has the stadium naming rights affected the growth of football in the UK?

Historically, the majority of the stadia in England were named after the immediate neighborhood in which the particular stadium was constructed. Some of these examples included old Trafford, Stamford Bridge, and White Hart Lane among others. As such, by this time, this type of naming did not have any corporate moniker attached to them. As money got involved in the football game, the sodium naming rights began as a part of the revenue source through which the clubs could get some of their fortunes (Bridgewater 117). The paper will also examine how the naming rise has given rise to some of the clubs in the area.

In 2004, for instance, the Arsenal club signed ideal with the Emirates Airline so as to name their new stadium which was constructed at Burton Grove as the Emirates Stadium. During this time, it was recorded that Emirates paid the club a sum of $100million for the 15 years of the naming rights of both stadium and the jersey. Folowingthsi suite the major English league has since developed some of the most facilities that were never there before1990s. The major aim is to attract various naming rights.

2. The second study question is the possible effects of the creation jersey sponsorship on the football club. The majority of clubs today stand to make fortunes that come with the jersey deals alone. This paper will analyze how the sale of the Jersey has for instance been affecting the performance of the clubs and their effects in football. The paper will analyze some of the profits that have been brought by the jersey sales in various club and the possible effects that they have dad to their respective clubs (Ancestors et.al 130).

3. The other significant objective is the impact of transfer and individual sponsorship in sports/ this particular question will be analyzed intern of the number of transfer and their respective impact in football game. It will also incorporate some of the latest transfer in the season 2016/2016 and the impact that the y has made interior teams. Some of the transfers, for, instance have help the teams earn various trophies while other have assisted in revenue collection.
