Hannah Montana is a musical comedy in the US that focuses on the life of a teenage girl (Miley Stewart) who lives a double life. She acts as a kind school girl during the day, and a popular recording artist called Hannah Montana by night. The story also focuses on Stewart’s friends, brother, and father (Vita Handayani, 2015). The series was produced on Disney channel, and it’s now in its fourth and final season.

The series has been developed over the years, and it has become a huge commercial success. However, the series has been criticized for being a negative influence on the young generation considering Miley’s rise to fame at a tender age. She exposed provocative images in the series, and many critics thought that these pictures impart on the lives of many teenagers around the world negatively (Leavy & Trier-Bieniek, 2014). Many stereotypes about the movie revolve around morality. Hannah’s experience of a pop star at a young age means that she faces challenges that other adolescents encounter in daily life. Dating for young people is expressed in the movie as a regular thing, but in reality, this is a challenge for many families and parents. Hannah admits to Jake Ryan that she is Hannah Montana when they get into a relationship which later ends (DeVun, 2015). This is as a result of trying to adopt a normal life.

In conclusion, people quickly notice bad information in movies, and it’s necessary to criticize it. Teens are likely to love the film due to its nature of exposing issues such as kissing and making love. The movie misleads young people, and it’s important to redesign Hannah Montana. Redesigning the movie will be achieved by educating the public on the need to accommodate new culture. People, especially teenagers should know that morality matters so much in their lives.
