The story is published based on the aspect of Gusev’s act of providing health services to people and the acts of burial being executed in the sea. Gusev deserved to attain better medical condition while traveling on the ship. The vast number of the sick on that ship leaves the medical practitioner exposed to contraction of these illnesses. According to a publication by Bismark, Morris, and Clarke (1168), the act of taking action to protect patients from impaired colleagues is a long-standing ethical and professional obligation. Nevertheless, one of the most enduring responsibilities of medical personnel is to act on the good of various patients and having the ability not to cause harm to any person. There was no act of trying to identify the cause of the illness with conclusion origination from other factors stated by people. For instance, the concept of lacking knowledge is being applied to the cause of the illness. Secondly, it’s published that Gusev was not a wealthy individual thus creating a hindrance to the attainment of better medication. Furthermore, it can also be interpreted that Gusev was earlier infected before getting onto the ship hence no measure could be applied by the crew to save his life. Gusev is also considered as nobody despite the fact that he served in the arms for a relatively extended period. It is further pointed out that he was a medial person who offered help to various groups of people in society. The story further has its focus on a regular guy.

Gusev often told the various sick people traveling on the ship about the conditions of other patients. It created a perception of fear that all the sick on the ship may attain similar conditions. For example, one of the people in the ship passed on, and Gusev had to find the most appropriate means of communicating the message to the people on board. The application of an ethical model of communication help resolves the level of fear that they had a given level. However, he did not need to focus on the expression that was being made by Pavel as the issues of anger when administering healthcare to another individual can lead to the execution of certain mistakes. It is also concluded that the critical purpose of any medical practitioner regulation is to offer protection to the public (Elkin 691). Failure to execute this humanmade leads to a quick spread of the illness to other individuals thus creating higher expenses in the provision of medication services. As indicated in the story, there was an unfortunate facility that could be used in the administration of this service to the sick. For instances, the death of Pavel made the area unbearable with Gusev having to move outside to get some fresh air.

Language

Too much aspect of sorrow can be witnessed in the story as a series of tragic activities happened in the trip. The process telling of the story to an individual may lead to the formulation of a series of questions to attain an understanding of the actions that were happening. Miserable death encounters in the ship created hardship in the aspect of keeping along with the journey. The stench smell at the facility made the provision of medical services difficult as there was a need for an individual to attain fresh air and continue with the acts of administering their duties. Gusev is also witnessed trying to calm the other patients irrespective of the fact that he received a series of resistance from Pavel. The use of polite language helps ease the practices of fear and also gives a perception that they are not under threatening the state of life. On the contrary, Pavel did not use proper language when passing any piece of communication in the ship. It is also witnessed as Pavel made declarations that they are being put on this vessel with the target of keeping them off the other groups of people. An individual can then have a chance to conclude that there is limited care that they can receive and the isolation points out that they are of limited use in the area.

Gusev regularly used the affirmative language. He also states that the death is referred to as an ultimate act of alienation and separation of man from anything. He further offers proof that the instance of death in an area provides an opportunity to remove this alienation and return to the embrace of other people. These statements provide a reader with the opportunity to conclude the nature of the environment that Gusev was using when providing medical attention to these people.
