Goal setting offers the employees a platform under which they can be able to base their hard work. A goal is nothing more but just a dream, and there must be a plan to achieving that dream. We have learned that any serious organization that sets to achieve always has a dream; it the duty of the employees to ensure that they work their ass off to ensure that they achieve that same dream as well. The other notable thing is the fact that when we have a goal, the company has the motivation to develop a plan to achieve that same dream. When it comes to this case, it is very important also to take note of the fact that one must be able to have a good plan which when well executed, they could help spur the company into glory days as such (Dan 3). A company that has a plan will be able to chase along their goal, and this is important to have such a drive.
I think that as an employee whether experienced or even new to the company, it is imperative to understand what the company aims at; this is now the goal that is being referred to here. After knowing such a goal, the next step is to make sure that we can manage the plan; after having a plan, we must also have an execution strategy to the same plan so that we can befit ourselves within a particular platform as such. It is thus crucial to take note of the fact that by dreaming and setting a goal, we derive a plan which maintains our obsession to the same plan as well. This is what everyone else could be targeting at this focal point as well. The next key thing that this author has also looked at is the fact that a goal creates a connection between the employee and the company. The employee, in this case, will make sure that the same goal of the company does match up to their personal life goals as well. It is crucial for any employee that we come across to have their goals be the goals of the company because it is only in this way that they will have the same morale to work even through the toughest of conditions to achieve. One must be able to understand that the best way to understand this best is by getting to know the obsession over the dream; when the dream is in them, then they act in it and make sure that in all their activities at work, they live by the attainment of that same goal.
