The hospital launched a project to expand the number of nurses on staff; the initiative was launched in order to address the issue of nurse burnout and thereby improve the quality of care delivered in the hospital. The project’s outcomes were positive, and as such, we would like to share the findings to the project’s main stakeholders. Information on the project’s value to the larger nursing community will also be communicated. The paper that follows is a discussion of techniques for disseminating the aforesaid information to stakeholders and nurses. The results of the project will have to be communicated to key stakeholders such as the hospital board of governors. Such will help inform the stakeholders about the progress of the project and the outcomes as well; in turn, this will lead to better decision making in the future (McHugh, 2012). The main aim of disseminating evidence to key stakeholder is to spread knowledge gained from evidence-based interventions. As such, the strategy for disseminating this evidence should be designed in a way that knowledge is spread to the target audience (McHugh, 2012).
The strategy that we will use for the dissemination of results to key stakeholder will be through a presentation. The results will be presented in the form of qualitative and numeric form. Such will allow us to narrate and explain the results first hand so that the stakeholders can understand it more easily. What is more, the information will be tailored to meet the needs of this audience; this will be achieved by using direct messages giving precise information. Such will facilitate future decision making by the key stakeholders (McHugh, 2012).
The outcomes of the project will also have to be communicated with the nursing community and the significance of these results explained to them. Such will help the nursing community practice proper techniques in the hospital (Polit, 2008). The strategy we will use to disseminate the significance of project outcomes to the nursing community will be through a multifaceted approach where it will be sent out in the form of books and also published online on the internet. In addition, we will go around hospitals and educate their staff on the importance of reducing burnout among nurses.
