Diversity can be described as a dimension that explains human differences. It consists of distinctive characteristics that differentiate people from their peers. These distinctions may be dependent on a distinct action, character, or attribute that distinguishes certain persons from others. It is important to remember that over the years, a number of ideas have been advanced about the importance of diversity in the achievement of accomplishment in an adult’s life. Some people believe that diversity is a factor that decides whether or not a person would be able to sustain a healthy adult life. As a result, the aim of this research is to understand how the idea of diversity impacts adult achievement in life. In the end, a conclusion will be drawn, to sum up, the ideas of the study.

It is important to note that the outcome we find in people at their adulthood is a result of the primary activities of the past and hence different individuals have been raised in different background during their childhood day. First, let’s consider the concept of environment. It is important to point out that environment is a factor determines of success in adults, we develop our behavioral tendencies and beliefs patterns based on the feature of our environment. An environment which supports and promotes college education will have most of it residence hoping and seeking to obtain a college degree down the line. There is need to note also that in such environments, the possibility of success of it adults will be higher when compared to that of other environments with less value of a college degree, (Denson, and Nicholas 78)

When looking at adversity as a factor that determines the level of success of adults there is need to also considered a key concept is known as orientation. Children grow up into a adults with a different orientations. Some with positive orientations while others with adverse orientations. Those who have the opportunity of getting proper orientations have access to factors such as good work ethics, proper financial management knowledge and proper family and social conducts. While other who didn’t have access to these forms of orientation would have limited knowledge about factors in life that could spur their attainment of success, (Hennecke and Alexandra 77).Hence it is important to note that a primary concept in diversity is the kind of orientation we have access to and the quality of the orientation provided to an individual by the society will be a key factor to determine the level of success attained at adulthoods.

Diversity also entails societal believes and norms. It is important to emphasize that societal belief and norms are basis principles that regulate the conduct of ordinary society. This concept forms the notions of members of the society and determines how they react to basic factors in such communities. It is no hidden fact that most communities have varied beliefs and norms, some communities have norms that support the growth and development and success of every member of the society. In such communities every adult is expected to succeed; Hence the higher likelihood of more success of members of this society. Some communities on the other hand attribute some certain level of success to a particular set or gender. Thus the tendencies of adult success in these communities are limited, (Thomas 66)

There is need to mention that another diversity-related factor that could determine the level of success of an adult is the concept of background. People developed from different backgrounds; some are favorable while other was not so good. A child who grew up in families with educated and well to do parents has the higher likelihood of attaining success compared to others. In some society, a college degree is not something people aspire to attain. In such society, it is considered as a sole right of the rich. Hence it is deducible that member of the community stands the less likely chance of attaining success when compared with their counterparts. When looking the concept of background in relation to diversity and if effects on the success of adults, there is need also to consider factors such as poverty. Children who grow up in poor homes are faced with all form of adverse conditions which results in a decline in their social performance. Poverty is a factor that drives the adverse vices that are predominant in the society. A poor child grows up into a poor adult. Hence is a bid to alleviate this predicament such adults find themselves in all sorts of vices which in turns have adverse effects on their success rates, (Stephens et al. 34)

Diversity and the level of success as an adult could also be considered by looking at the concept form a racial perspective. Racism is an adverse aspect of the society that has been in existence for the years. Some races are not as fortunate as the others. In the American society, for instance, there are some group of minor races such as the Hispanics and the African American. Members of these races in the United States are not as fortunate as members of other races. The reason for this could be accredited to a number of factors such as historical adverse events such as slavery for African American. For the Hispanics factors such as limited population could be responsible for the racial minority status. There is need note that based on the racial distinctions most harsh realities are suffered by members of this minority group in America. The rates of school dropouts, prostitution and gang violence in the United States is at the peak among the Hispanics and the African American. Based on the realities of these factors, it is important to mention that racial diversity is a factor that could determine the level of success of adult. Children who grow up as members of favorable races are likely to have more adulthood success compare to the counterparts from other races, (Hand and Payne 45)

In conclusion, it is important to note that the presence of diversity is a primary reality in the world we live in today. Individuals are not all of the same background, race, we do not have the same orientation, neither do we share the same norms and belief. The fundamental differences that are brought on board by diversity a primary factor that could determine the level of success that could be attained by an adult. A person who grew up with a favorable background, among a dominant race, who had access to proper norms believes and values and also had a positive orientation about life is likely to be more successful compared to others who were not privilege have the above mention items.
