Discovery learning is the suggested method of instruction (Merlot Pedagogy, 2016). Learning exercises are created in this way so that students can potentially acquire and discover their own knowledge. This includes being aware of the connections between ideas, guiding principles, and concepts that are part of the overall learning process. Students can do this through debating issues, manipulating real objects, discovering their surroundings, carrying out experiments, and working through issues.

Providing Research Resources

The teacher should concentrate on giving the students the resources they will need to conduct their own research to get the answers. This includes providing guidance on how the information in the research materials should be used to find the answers. It is also paramount for the students to engage in answering intriguing questions. As such, they are able to develop critical thinking skills, which helps them to ask and answer questions related to what they need to achieve in order to become successful in understanding the complex concepts. As students answer the intriguing questions, they will appreciate the concepts and have a good memory of the same.

Engaging in Discussion

Moreover, the teacher has the role of engaging the students in a discussion process of the motivation and learning. This helps them in having a good view and understanding of their independent voices. Such an understanding environment acts as the main step of ensuring that students are given a good encouragement to engage in a talk and see the best perspectives in life. The classroom should have an inclusion of humor to ensure that students have an enhanced learning, retention and understanding of what is expected of them in achieving the desired academic success. The humor also helps in making students pay attention to course work.
