Camp Bow Wow is a company that provides dog care, boarding, training, and in-home pet treatment in a safe, enjoyable, and individualized manner. According to the video, the company administration conducts a wide range of functions. But, the two most critical daily duties for leaders are franchising and liaison (Pix, 2011).

Franchising

Franchising is a continuous relationship in which the company’s owner distributes services through the presence of other connected dealers. As a result, Camp Bow Wow actively participates in franchising, with franchisees assisting in organization, training, merchandising, marketing, and management.

Liaison

Concerning liaison, the owner of the Camp Bow Wow firm indicates that the leadership applies the open door policy. This approach involves communication of ideas both internally and externally, and the inclusion of all participants in the execution of activities and the growth of the organization.

Managerial Roles at Camp Bow Wow

The managerial roles that feature prominently include the need for communication and entrepreneurship capabilities. Franchising as a business strategy requires the management to plan effectively, ensure consistency in all the locations and evaluation of the firm processes. Camp Bow Wow has 200 franchises and over 2,000 employees and therefore the managerial role of entrepreneurship including creating change, controlling activities, generation of ideas and implementation of concepts is evident in this firm. The entrepreneurial function requires the guidance of vision, mission, passion, and the aspiration to be the best.

Additionally, liaison (communication, collaboration, and cooperation) is a crucial managerial role. The leadership has to communicate with all contacts and stakeholders, network effectively and cooperate internally and externally. Furthermore, the administration must disseminate relevant information concerning the aspirations, progress, and strategies to the involved parties. Camp Bow Wow applies the liaison outlook to ensure that animals are happy, healthy and safe.
