BODY
I. To begin with, traveling teaches us about the world. Travelling can teach us more than any of our schools and colleges. Meeting people from diverse cultures provides us with an education that is impossible to acquire from any institution of learning
A. First, we learn the language of other people, the foods they eat and their way of doing things. In addition, we learn how to appreciate and live with other cultures. We also learn that the world is not as scary as we might have been made to believe.
B. Travelling will also teach you how to be patient. Sometimes things may go wrong during a travel. May be displaced luggage, delayed flights, breakdowns among others. In other words, life does not always go according to plan. Such situations will help you learn that you should always be patient while dealing with tough situations. By learning how to deal with these curveballs that travelling throws your way will help you to become more patient in your everyday life. You can use this important trait back at home when you are faced with challenging circumstances both at the workplace or at home. Trust you me, after all these lessons, you will become more patient in dealing with your average, daily challenges.
II. Apart from teaching us about the world, traveling also helps us to discover ourselves. Travelling is a transformative experience. By travelling, you can realize that your capability goes far beyond what you imagined. Travelling changes you in the best way imaginable. According to Calida Jenkins on a November 17th, 2017 web post, we can observe how we feel being away from home.
A. It enables us to realize how we feel about foreign people and to find out how much we know or do not know about the world around us. We are able to find out what our reactions are in completely different situations. In this way, we get to learn more about our problem solving abilities and our creativity in responding to emergencies.
B. Travelling tests our language and social skills. Travelling to a place where the people speak a strange language tests how fast we are able to learn a foreign language. It also tests how quickly we can adapt to a completely different culture from ours. We can never be the same after returning home.
C.Lastly, traveling teaches us that we are not so different from others in different parts of the world. We cannot substitute real experience with class work.
III. In addition, traveling also acts as a source of motivation. Travelling motivates us by boosting our confidence. In traveling, we learn ideas and things that we would like to try at home.
A. As I already said, we can learn new ways of solving emergencies. We may want to put our newly acquired knowledge into practice. Travelling gives you a lot of energy to want to try.
B. We are made more confident and independent, especially since we realize we are able to cope with many uncertain situations and solve more problems on our own. We get to realize that it is possible to survive without the help that is always available for us at home. You will realize that we are actually much stronger, braver, and more daring than we expected.
CONCLUSION
Summary statement: If you want to experience more joy in life, realize who you really are and learn more about life, travel more. Making a journey to a place you have never been before will show you opportunities that await, opportunities you have never imagined. Travelling will definitely open up your world to greater things.
Audience response statement: You all have read stories in book. Haven’t you? Well today I want to challenge you that of all the stories in the world, the best can only be found between the pages of our passports. Pick up that passport and read all the stories in the world.
WOW statement: Finally, I would like to leave you with a quote by Guzaarish, that says, ”Life is short, but it is long enough if you live all your heart”
