Construction and Building

Construction and building projects are crucial because they turn concepts into reality (Anderson 2013, p. 7). My chosen building should be built with accuracy. The walls should be parallel to the floor and well-controlled in terms of drainage and light. The building should have a gray inside with contemporary furnishings and amenities. Another crucial factor that needs to be taken into account in the building is the management of space and ventilation. The interior design should make use of the floor area to facilitate simple movement.

Landscaping

The landscaping is also another crucial component. The landscape should allow the growth of trees and green grass factoring in aspects of aesthetics and allowing easy drainage to reduce chances of flooding during rainy weather. The outside environment should be serene and well organized with parking lots facilitating easy accommodation of visitors and clients. The arrangement of equipment outside the building is important such things as trashcans, seats and the rest must be organized. Furthermore, the building must conform to the design rules in architecture. Rooms ought to be constructed in order of their use. For example, the garage cannot be constructed next to the kitchen because petrol is highly flammable.

Safety Measures

Safety ought to be given priority, therefore; it should be made part of the initial building design work as opposed to being made an afterthought (Patterson, 2011, p. 33). Walls should be built high enough to allow for control in lighting and reduce the chances of accidents. Security lights must be installed to facilitate lighting at night. Finally, the sewer and plumbing systems must conform to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to avoid environmental pollution.
