Lahey Clinic was founded in 1923 and is named for its founder, Dr. Frank Lahey. The clinic is a non-profit institution that employs roughly 500 physicians and 5000 support staff members, including nurses and therapists. Lahey Clinic urges its employees to work together to offer exceptional and compassionate patient care. Furthermore, the Hospital employs a multidisciplinary approach to assure quality patient care, employee performance, and organizational performance. Similarly, the training, employee benefits scheme, and corporate compliance strategies at Lahey Clinic have been placed to ensure good corporate and employee performance. The employees at the organization benefit from a staff incentive scheme (SIS), which offers insurance cover and time away benefits. This system could, however, benefit from further improvement by offering the employees bonuses when they meet their targets comprehensively. A good bonus scheme would encourage hard work, dedication, reduce vices such as absenteeism, and increase productivity. This is because employees would feel that their work is being recognized and they will put more effort.
