Issues at work and the need for adaptive leadership culture

Issues at work frequently arise as a result of the acceptance of changes in organizations that frequently require questioning people’s daily realities. The majority of people frequently experience a sense of threat from the organization’s quest for significant changes. But it is our responsibility as leaders to make sure that any change we enact in a community is done so effectively. The development of an adaptive leadership culture is essential to finding a workable solution to the difficult problems that the organization’s leaders encounter (Welter, 2014). The purpose of the research is to examine Amazon’s adaptive challenge in this regard.

The importance of leadership in Amazon

One of the major issues facing Amazon entails recognition of the extraordinary nature of leadership. The fact that the use of advanced technology characterizes the contemporary world results in the less acknowledgment of the value attached to the leaders in the organization (London. & Mone, 2012). Therefore, it appears as though the organizational complexities are reduced to machines and data. There is the necessity for noting that the leaders at Amazon remain crucial aspects of its cultural practices for the provision of the necessary guidance towards developing its communities, decision-making and in the management of its human relations coupled with motivation and trust.

The challenges of shifting to an administration based on machines and data

Therefore, the shift in the administration of the organization using machines and data seem tedious, and the company is not adequately prepared to shift towards handling some of the social, existential ramifications associated with the approach (Gavetti, 2010). As such, there is the need for consideration of the leaders as role models characterized by flaws but who play a crucial role in motivating the members in numerous ways through the emotional attachments.
