An American corporation that develops computer software globally is called Adobe Systems Inc. The company is well recognized for creating multimedia and creativity-enhancing computer software (Krause, 2017). Photoshop, Portable Document Format (PDF), Adobe Creative Suite, and Adobe Acrobat Reader are some of its users’ favorite products. The founding members of Adobe, John Warnock and Charles Geschke, launched it in 1982. (Adobe, n.d.). As the first international printing standard made up of algorithms, Adobe released PostScript. The licensing of digital fonts, which featured characters like the Times Romans and Helvetica, was introduced after PostScript (Adobe, n.d.). Later in the mid-1980s adobe then ventured into the consumer software market (Adobe, n.d.). It made its debut with illustrator graphics enhancement software. Over the years the company developed several other products with Photoshop as the most popular product (Adobe, n.d.).

Adobe Systems is a hybrid of both servicing and merchandising company. It is a service industry as its products are intangible (Accounting Verse, n.d.). Servicing sectors offer professional skills; Adobe consists of a network of computer programming specialists that develop programs software which they sell. Adobe usually develops computer software and partner with computer companies to sell their products. The company also avails its software’s to individuals. The organization produces its products through a network of experts who build programming languages such as PostScript page description language that is responsible for computer printing. After the PostScript adobe systems developed digital fonts, illustrator, and Photoshop, PDF and Adobe Acrobat reader. The company is also a merchandising company as it markets and sells its products. For instance, in 2008, Adobe released the Adobe Media Player and discontinued the manufacturing and sale of the original HTML/web development software and promoted the sales of Dreamweaver (Adobe, n.d.). It also offered discounts to its clients who were still using GoLive so that they could migrate to Dreamweaver.

Adobe systems main products are the development of graphic design software and web design programs. Some of the products for the graphic design software include Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Acrobat. For instance, the Adobe InDesign software enables the user to manipulate the page layout and preview documents in magazines and newspapers. InDesign makes it easier for content producers to put together layouts for numerous paged reports quickly (Krause, 2017). Some of its web design programs include Adobe Dreamweaver, Contribute, Muse, Adobe Flash Builder, Adobe Edge and Adobe Flash. For instance, the Adobe Dreamweaver highlights syntax and usually shows a preview of what the code will resemble (Krause, 2017).

Since Adobe Systems deals with the generation of computer application software, its products are intangible. The software does not have the physical qualities of the client cannot physically touch, smell taste and volume (Accounting Verse, n.d.). However, sometimes the software products storage is on flash disks or Compact disks which enables their portability and transferability. However, a client can experience the software product by installing it on a device.

After the renovations to Chez Louise restaurant, the management expected that their service delivery would improve. Consequently, the service delivery would translate to an increase in the number of new customers, retainer clients and also an increase in the income per night for the hotel. They also increased the number of staff and menu items to ensure that the service is efficient and the customers have options at the hotel. There were significant gains in the sales, retainer customers, and the number of new customers also increased as follows;

The calculations for the average guests per setting is by dividing the number clients present by the number of table setups available in the restaurant. The number of guests per setting in the hotel increased by one person after the renovation. Therefore the percentage gain is the difference between the guest present after the refurbishment and the first clients, then getting the ratio of the increase over the first guests and then multiplying the quotient by a hundred to get the percentage.

The average returns per set are the total guests that came back divided by the number of settings. The gain of profits is the difference between the number of customers who came back before the renovations and those that came back after. To get the percentage of profit, you express it as a ratio of the initial returns before renovation then multiply the answer by a hundred. For this case study, the yields per setting before the upgrades was 0.1 and after the renovations were 0.12. The percentage gain of returns customers per was 20%. The income per setting describes the total revenue per night divided by the number of settings in the hotel. The percentage gain is the difference between the income before the renovations and the income after. Divide the difference by the first sales, and then the answer is multiplied by a hundred.

The most significant gains in the hotels are the income per setting. The revenue per night represents the average total payments that the hotel receives minus all the operating expenses. The overall income gain the restaurant signifies an increase in the profits of the hotel. That demonstrates that the business has an increase in profits. The least essential gain in this case study is the number of guests per setting. The setting per night describes the number of places where clients could sit at any given point time. Since customers usually have different times which they enter a restaurant and leave. The number of settings does not directly affect the volume of sales. Furthermore, the tables in the restaurant could also be rearranged to accommodate large gatherings. Even the restaurant also has benches which can provide for more or fewer guests depending on the conditions presents. The number of returns in the hotel is also significant as it signifies that the ability of the restaurant to maintain its customers. It can also mean that probably the service and the food in the facility are excellent and that those are the factors that keep the customers patronizing.
