The essay discusses entrepreneurship and the lessons it can show us about life. Entrepreneurs, like anyone else, ask, analyze, and even doubt the choices they make.

It is possible to get trapped in a rut of everyday routines that have become monotonous and seem impossible to alter. The only way to change this is if we become creative and willing to take up risks (“What Entrepreneurship Can Teach Us About Life - WSJ,” n.d.). Many activities in life may seem limiting e.g. family, but by applying the entrepreneurial spark they can become an adventure

The article goes ahead to explain how entrepreneurs can relate to children to a certain extent. The writer then describes how children love doing things on their own, how when offered assistance they are quick to refuse acting like they know what they are doing even if it clearly may be difficult for their thinking. How they own their projects and stay focused on it till they overcome the challenge is the same attitude required when one wants to get into entrepreneurship. It involves a lot of self-development. They are rule makers as well as law breakers’ being their bosses; discipline is self-generated, and one’s effort determines business. Entrepreneurs like children tend to be decision makers rather than permission seekers. The decisions may not be accurate, but that’s the risk of it all.

Many people are reluctant to be explosive with their imagination mainly due to fear. Am afraid that they may fail they may not be approved others thinks it may be too late for them. The writer gives an example of Ray Kroc who was in his 50s when he got McDonald’s on its track. Therefore this may be understandable as getting into entrepreneurship is not easy at all. It requires a lot of energy, patience, consistency as well as the will itself to take risks.

From this, we can learn that by being experimenting and creative we can convert regular routines to entrepreneurial activities that may generate us an income. Being comfortable with being okay is not a right attitude; we should strive to be the best and make the most out of our abilities and strengths. Lastly, regardless of how hard one may view entrepreneurship to be, it does not require a complete life change. One can build an empire step by step by putting in the effort and being open to trying out new things.
